Mitch Hayden, Lachlan Fittler and Jack Hendy made their way north of the border to take on Queensland’s best, while Streeting chose to travel to Sydney .
All four boys swam well among tough competition, achieving many personal bests and placing within the top 20 of each state.
Armidale Alligator club captain Mitch Hayden surprised himself with a silver medal for his efforts in the 50 metre butterfly.
Hayden said he did not expect to medal at such a high level, especially in Queensland where you are racing against some of the strongest swimmers in the country.
He went into the meet suffering from the flu so he said he was extremely happy to medal and was happy with his times in all races.
All four boys will continue to train to prepare themselves for the summer swimming season.
