Night of Comedy aims to raise money to send the Northern Nations soccer side to the inaugural Indigenous Football Championships in Nowra later this year.
The night will feature Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Sean Choolburra and Andrew Saunders as well as local band Terra Firma.
A live auction will take place with football boots signed by women’s soccer player Kyah Simon and former rugby league player Preston Campbell.
A signed Indigenous All-Stars jersey will also be up for grabs.
Northern Nations team organiser Dave Widders said it will be a fun night and a great opportunity to provide local Indigenous players with a start in the sport.
“[It is] a night where we are trying to get the community together,” he said.
“We want to life the profile of soccer in Armidale from a developmental stage.
“We want to create a pathway for kids to play in the A-league.”
Tickets are $30 from the club or www.eventbrite.com.au/e/night-of-comedy-terra-firma-tickets-25943384361
The Night of Comedy begins at 6:30pm.
