Well my mobile coverage is patchy and we received a pamphlet saying NBN is now available but when you go to connect sorry there are tree's obstructing the signal. So we are left with the choice of satellite Internet which is expensive or next G internet that will cost about $100 for 12 gig. So the millions spent on upgrades meant nothing to my area but disappointment.

Come on Barnaby Joyce! We re-elected you because you promised us a population and job growth as well as better mobile coverage. How long will it take to bring this plan to the New England? Mr Joyce has promised improving black spot mobile coverage as a key item on his agenda so there is an expectation from constituents for him to back his words. We are supposed to be on the cutting edge of technology with our NBN yet here we are struggling to make a phone call. Very often I find my service dropping in and out- I have tried Optus and Telstra but they both are patchy. Something must be done and soon, the electorate is growing frustrated by this isolation.

Mobile coverage between Uralla and Walcha is absolutely terrible. Often I wonder about the horrible possibility of someone having a motor accident and being able to get coverage. We are also the country’s first entire NBN connected city yet our mobile coverage is terrible. If you drive more than 15 kilometres out of Armidale, you might as well take communicate in morse code or smoke signals. I hope Barnaby starts putting this plan into motion because his constituents will not accept being left hanging.
