A 32-year-old man was treated in Armidale hospital for injuries to the back of his head after he was allegedly attacked by a woman with a pair of scissors at a home in Hargraves Street.
Police said the 32-year-old man was awoken in the early hours
of Sunday before he was
allegedly assaulted by a 25-year-old woman.
“He sustained a number of injuries to the back of his head, one of which required some stitches,” New England Inspector Chris McKinnon said.
“He was conveyed to Armidale hospital by a friend.”
The man was discharged shortly afterwards.
But police were alerted about his wounds.
Armidale officers then launched an investigation into the incident.
Police have been told a verbal argument between the pair turned physical.
But no arrests or charges have been laid in relation to Sunday’s alleged attack.
“Police attended and conducted a forensic examination of
the scene,” Inspector McKinnon said.
“Enquiries are continuing,”
