The website went live this week, though the transition from former council websites is still underway.
Council tipped the online hub to help smooth transitions since the recent Armidale Dumaresq-Guyra Shire merger, on the back of Fit for the Future final recommendations.
Dr Tiley said the new site would replace the former council website and address user difficulties.
“The site has been designed to be easily understood and navigated by residents and anyone with an interest in council and the region,” he said. While the transition was still underway, Dr Tiley said users should continue to use the appropriate plans, policies and forms from the former council areas until they were replaced or updated.
“As you navigate through the new website, you will come across links that take you back to the old Armidale Dumaresq and Guyra websites and content such as local environment plans and various policies that are still relevant,” Dr Tiley said.
“Over the next few weeks and months these links will slowly vanish as content is reviewed and moved to the new site. In many instances there will be a link provided to documents on the former Guyra Shire Council website and the former Armidale Dumaresq website.”
