Next month the New England North West Regional Science Hub will commence a series of talks at The Armidale Club. “This year we have secured money to do an ongoing event and we wanted to do something that was engaging from 18 years all the way up, in an informal setting,” organiser Kirsti Abbott said.
Topics at Science in the Club will be addressed by a panel of local talent.
They include paradigm shifts in science, the national STEM agenda and playing God with our genes.
The first event will be held on Wednesday, May 11 and examine agriculture in a changing climate.
Dr Abbott hopes the gatherings will be “informal but accessible”.
The events commence at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
