Elder, who regularly rocks the stage with The Al Heeny Rhythm and Blue Experience, wanted to use his musical talent to help the club continue to provide great services for the city’s youngsters.
“The goal is to raise $5000,” Elder said.
“We’re also going to organise businesses to donate goods for a silent auction on the night.” Elder’s band will be joined by local act Terra Firma, with the musicians throwing their support behind the fundraiser.
“The idea came up last year when we were organising the Christmas Mall Markets,” Mr Coates said.
“He’s just run with it.”
Elder hopes the event will bring in a stack of cash for the club.
“We’re just basically asking everyone to come to the party and have a bit of a dance,” he said.
The concert will be held on Saturday, February 27.
