Earlier this year the White Bull Hotel was placed in the hands of receivers.
Receiver Richard Stone said RSM Bird Cameron took over the pub’s operations on July 20.
“I can confirm that the receivership of the White Bull Hotel concluded on November 2,” Mr Stone said.
The hotel was placed on the market with expressions of interest for operating the pub closing on September 22.
The White Bull was the fourth pub in Armidale to be placed in the hands of a receiver in the past decade. With other establishments including the Wicklow, the New England Hotel and The Railway Hotel now successful businesses.
The hotel currently has 15 years remaining on the lease of the pub, and employs at least five people full time and more casual and part time workers. The Hotel was built in 1876 and initially called The Robert Burns Hotel, after the Scottish poet.
From 1889 the pub was called The Club Hotel before being renamed in 2006 as the White Bull Hote following renovations.
The Express approached the White Bull Hotel for clarification on the future of the property however, Patrick Gurr declined to comment.
The White Bull Hotel has also received a Commendation for Excellence Award in the Armidale Business Chamber Award for Pubs and Clubs .
