However one councillor has raised concerns that Dangarsleigh road is not being made wide enough to accommodate traffic.
In last night's council meeting, Councillor Margaret O'Connor queried whether the road was going to be widened.
"The angle from Dangarsleigh road is currently very steep," she said.
Director of strategic projects David Steller said while the road was being remodeled, council was not looking at making it wider.
"The road is roughly 7.5 metres in width," he said.
"That's the current design standard for rural roads."
Speaking to The Express, Cr O'Connor said she was not satisfied the road was safe enough for its mainly rural users.
"They've elevated the road and built a deep gutter around it," she said.
"You would literally fall off the road and roll your car."
Cr O'Connor also said that vehicles using the road would often need to pull over more than others.
"There's alot of vehicles transporting cattle and sometimes tractors," she said.
"it's normal practice to be able to pull over."
