This annual Earle Page College Coast Run is a two-day relay style event that takes runners from Armidale through Dorrigo down to the end of Coffs Harbour Jetty.
The charity regularly raises an overall $20,000 to $30,000.
This will be the 36th Coast Run which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the institute over that time. “We have exactly 50 items up for auction this year,” Keegan Cirillo, who is in charge of the auction, said.
“Last year we raised $4000 for the Children’s Medical Research Institute,” committee member Jason Crook said about the auction.
Some of the other big items include a Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb, a weekend away for two and a range of artworks.
The auction will be at 11am this Saturday in the college and is being run by professional auctioneer Peter Georkas.
The Coast Run takes place on August 14 and 16 and all are encouraged to become involved.
To RSVP for the auction lunch call the college on 6773 5300.
