For one day, a lucky Uralla resident between the age of 13 and 17 years old will get a chance to sit at Mayor Michael Pearce’s desk.
All they have to do is write in 200 words or less, what they would do to improve services and facilities in Uralla to encourage youth to be active participants in shire life.
The winning entrants will be invited to experience a day as Mayor of Uralla, observing the role and function of the Mayor within the local government process.
This will include attending a formal council meeting and the opportunity to interact with other councillors and staff from Council.
Winners will also receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite.
Entries must be received by Monday, August 3 at 4pm.
They can be posted to The Mayor, Uralla Shire Council, PO Box 106, URALLA NSW 2358, emailed to: mayor@uralla.nsw.gov.au.
The winners will be announced at Council’s Open Day on Friday, August 7.
