CHARGES have been laid against a man arrested on Thursday morning after he was questioned by detectives in relation to number of break-ins in the city.

The 32-year-old man from Kempsey was charged with armed with intent to commit serious indictable offence, steal from person, goods in custody and two counts of break, enter and steal.
He was taken into custody after officers and detectives from the New England Local Area Command raided a home in Butler Street at 8am on Thursday.
Officers allegedly located around two dozen items including laptop computers, mobile phones and electronic tablets.
They 32-year-old was arrested at the scene and was taken to Armidale Police Station.
He has been refused bail, to appear at Armidale Local Court on Friday.
The arrest is the latest in a police crackdown on burglary offences in the New England district.
