A NSW police officer has been charged with drink driving after he was pulled over by officers in the Blue Mountains.

The officer, attached to the Central Metropolitan Region, allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test when pulled over in Lawson at 10am on Friday.
He was taken to Katoomba Police Station where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.088.
He was charged with mid-range drink-driving and was bailed to appear in court on January 27.
