Easts may have benefited from City’s bad fortune last weekend, but the Armidale District Cricket Association table says that Easts are two from two to start the season and that’s all that matters to Sam Uphill.

“We may have gotten a bit lucky last weekend, but we still set a pretty good total,” the Easts skipper said.
“I can’t ask for a much better start.”
Dean Moore’s knock of 74 set up a total of a total of 9-174 from their 45 overs.
Andrew Williams (28) and Nathan Porter (24) provided some support for Moore.
“Dean Moore batted really well,” Uphill said.
Easts’ undefeated record will be put to the test tomorrow when they battle fellow unbeaten outfit Hillgrove in a top of the table clash at the Armidale Sportsground.
Dismissing Hillgrove’s dangerous top order will be key to victory for Easts according to Uphill.
“We have to bowl well,” he said.
“Hillgrove have a long batting line-up.
“We need to take 10 wickets and do it quickly. Michael Dawson is the key scalp for us.”
Uphill will have to have a big hand if they are to take 10 wickets as will Sam Constance and Tyson Burey.
“Tyson bowled beautifully last week,” Uphill said.
“It will be nice to get Sam Constance back too.”
The Easts skipper also said left-arm spinner Todd Francis will bowl plenty of overs.
“Todd will play a big role,” Uphill said.
“The Sportsground is pretty dry at the moment.
“He might get his hands on the ball pretty early.”
