I READ with interest in our local newspaper that Mercurius Goldstein is the endorsed candidate for this area to stand for the Greens in the up-coming state election.

Mr Goldstein is one of the principal voices behind ripping up the Northern rail line from Armidale and turning it into a rail trail.
Mr Goldstein must be reading a different version of the Greens Transport Policy which states they want to “Restore Regional Railways”.
Restoring Regional Railways is one of four key policy objectives on the Greens Transport Policy website.
The opening line of the policy states “The Greens NSW are committed to affordable , efficient and safe public transport”.
Perhaps Mr Goldstein should decide what he stands for. Does he want to rip up the Northern rail line or promote the Greens Transport Policy to restore regional railways?
