The Uralla nail technician has been working in the industry for 10 years, but this was the first time she had competed against others in the craft.
She entered seven categories in Nail Olympia at Sydney and walked away with a placing in each.
She was awarded four gold, two silvers and a bronze, topping the open category in the photographic nails, one hand tip and overlay, the open/ apprentice team and fantasy competitions.
“I have never done this before so it is a shock to place,” Ms Goodwin said. “It is nice to be recognised by world renowned nail technicians especially when I work on my own.”
Ms Goodwin was most proud of her fantasy entry, with the nails taking her two months to design and sculpt.
“It is an international competition with nail techs coming from Korea, Japan, New Zealand and Portugal to compete.”
Next year she will be travel to London to compete, in the masters’ category.
