In court Ms Phillippous also asked if Bennett’s bail conditions could be varied to remove his 10pm to 6am curfew.
But Magistrate Karen Stafford said his bail would continue in the same terms as set down in July by Magistrate Peter Miszalski.
This included a variation to allow Bennett to reside in Bundarra during the week as he had a job in the town.
The case was adjourned until September 3 with interim apprehended violence orders for the protection of the victims of the assault to continue until then.
