During 12 years in the job, Peter Jensen spoke out on many issues, frequently causing controversy.
On Tuesday Dr Jensen will give a free lecture at the University of New England on topic of as Ourselves, What Does it Mean to be Human?
The former principal of Moore College has notably supported evangelical Christianity and written a number of books on Christian doctrine.

Dr Jensen has also vocally defended trade unions, championed the causes of prisoners and asylum seekers and criticised former Prime Minister John Howard for not apologising to the stolen generation.
The lecture will take place from 5pm to 6pm at the University of New England, Economic Business and Law building, Lecture theatre one from 5pm-6pm on Tuesday, August 26.
For more information about the lecture contact Anglican campus minister, Revered Gary Eastment on 0409 725 193.
