The heritage-listed building has been damaged at least three times in the past year by high trucks reversing into the zone, according to the building's owners.
They have just replaced the verandah and are concerned when trucks hit the supporting pylons it creates a danger.
Their concerns will be raised at a meeting of Armidale Dumaresq Council on Monday night
Councillors will decide whether to take up their suggestions to swap the loading zone with 15-minute car parking and relocate the loading zone further south in Faulkner Street.
Also on Monday night, approval will be sought for a major upgrade of lighting in the car park at the Railway Interchange.
Council officers have recommended improving pedestrian access and improving disabled access to the railway station, with minor adjustments to the parking layout.
