Bob Marchant has taken the reins as president while Bronwyn Brown has become the club’s new secretary.
Mr Marchant said he wanted the club to work more with school groups as part of a few ideas that he says will take the club forward.
In addition club treasurer Ron Jackson said they wanted to have open days on a regular basis.
Mr Marchant said the he also wanted to see their gate takings increase so they could donate more money to charity.
At this stage Mr Marchant said he wanted the group to support research into prostate cancer.
Vice-president Gordon Edmunds said the club had a strong appreciation of “heritage in action”.
“I’m third generation on the family farm … I’m glad I didn’t have to come in on a horse this morning,” he said. “I’ve got an air conditioned cab on a tractor, I don’t want to go back to those times but I can respect the way people did it.”
Meanwhile the club will be looking to continue with their project which will see them restore a tractor engine from 1914.
