The carnival was revived last year after being in hiatus since 2006 and was a resounding success.
Organisers are expecting the same outcome this year.
Action gets underway tomorrow with an individual stableford for both men and women.
Golfers will then pair up for Saturday’s men and ladies fourball stableford, while an individual medley will also be played for those without partners.
A medley fourball par will be played on Sunday and again an individual medley will be on offer for those who do not have a partner.
The club will host a presentation dinner on Sunday night before an optional nine or 18 hole individual stableford on Monday starting from 9am.
Following Monday’s competitionthe increasingly popular chipping competition will be held , with $250 cash prizes up for grabs.
Armidale Golf Club general manager Tim Allerton said golfers nominated from as far as Sydney, Brisbane, the Central Coast and Tweed Heads.
“It’s four days of golf with varied competition,” he said.
“It’s held in good spirits and there is great camaraderie between the players.”
Allerton said golfers will get a real treat when they step on to the course.
“The course is looking fabulous, it’s in great condition,” he said.
“The recent rain has made it very green.
“The greens are very fast and provide a great challenge for all players.”
There is also a golf cart on offer, valued at almost $10,000, for anyone who can ace the par three seventh hole.
Entries are still being taken for all four days of the event. To put your name down phone the Armidale Golf Club on 6772 5837.
