NEW England detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an Armidale man at the weekend.
About 10am yesterday, police from the New England Local Area Command attended a unit complex on Barney Street after residents noticed a foul odour coming from one of the flats.
Officers entered the unit and found a 48-year-old male deceased on the kitchen floor.
Local detectives are seeking public assistance as they continue their inquiries into the man's death.
