The Wombats had a great start to the game scoring in the first minutes. The Rams struggled with lack of ball possession and were behind 20-0 at the half-time break.
The Rams came back in the second half with Adrian Morris scoring followed by an unsuccessful conversion attempt. But the Rams finally had points on the board.
In the second half a bit of a niggle crept in the play and one Warialda player was sin-binned for a professional foul.
The Rams Michael Ware scored and Brian Dennison was successful with the conversion to take the score to 30-10.
The last minutes of the game featured a fantastic runaway try to hooker Chad Borger, with a successful conversion by Brian Dennison to take the final score to 30-16 in favour of the Wombats.

The players’ player award went to Adrain Morris and the coach’s award to Chad Borger.
In the other games the Rams under 18s went down 20-4. The young Rams side was missing some key players.
In the opening seconds of the match Warialda’s Blake Bachelor suffered concusion from a head clash and the game was stopped while Bachelor was treated on the field and later taken to hospital.
Warialda played a man short for the remainder of the game.
A try to Damien Dussart were the only points for the Rams, but the boys tried hard to register a 20-4 loss.

The Rams women’s league tag team were unlucky not to get a win.
They made a great come-back in the second half but were beaten 28-24.
Kayla White made several great try-saving tags.
A try to Kady Gwynne 10 minutes before half-time took the score to 20-4 to Waridalda.
To the Rams credit, they responded with tries to Bonnie Smith, Rachel Zirkler bagged a double and one to Alana Dunne.

As a sign of the level of commitment from the players, Rachael Zirkler travelled to Warialda and played a full game after having her wisdom teeth removed the previous day.
