In a rugged first grade contest, The Barbarians held on to win 27-22 after leading 24-125 at the break.
In the lower grades, the Barbarians won the seconds 24-19 and the thirds completed the trifecta with a 22-8 victory.
Barbarians captain Sam Piddington said the first grade affair was played in two contrasting stanzas with his side scoring the majority of their points in the first half and closing up shop in the second 40 minutes to concentrate on defence.
“We also had injuries to a couple of key players in the second half, but the bench players really stood up and made their presence felt,” he said.
“It was a tough game against a very good Robb outfit.
“A few things went our way and we came away with the win.
“Luckily the injuries were not serious and we should have a fully fit squad for the next round.”
“It was a great outing for the club at our Alcatraz headquarters and a fitting way to celebrate our first home games,” Piddington said.
Stand-outs were tight-head prop Tim Robins, and centre combination Damien Dibble and Josh Coulthurst.
Will Sell scored two tries and Sam Meyers one while Keith Ellis converted twice and landed a penalty.
