The day proved a winning double as their male counterparts the Armidale boys under-18s, also won their final against Moree.
The boys needed a drop off, where players leave the field in extra time to determine a winner after scores were locked 2-2 at full time.
Narrabri won the men’s over-35s title when another drop off was required to determine the winner after scores were locked 1-1 at full time. Yamba won the ladies open title 5-1, while Qurindi won the mixed 5-1. In men’s open Maitland beat Tamworth 2-1.
Tournament convenor Adam Wicks said the event was a big success.
“Everyone is delighted the tournament proved a success,” he said. “We’re already thinking about next year where we hope 40 teams will nominate.
“Overall it was a fantastic carnival.”
