Changing of the guard

09 Mar, 2009 01:47 PM
THE ARMIDALE Horse and Pony Club are basking in their success after claiming the Busby Shield.

The shield is presented to the club that has achieved the highest point score in the zone after inter-club gymkhana events.

The club was led to victory through the dedication and drive of a highly motivated group of members, but also through the extra efforts of some.

In other club news, 2009 has already seen changes to the committee, with Cameron stepping down from the role of chief instructor.

Marg House will step into the role, assisted by David Northey, Kimberley Taylor and Sozou.

Susie Armitage has taken on the role of club secretary with Karen Carlon and can be contacted on 6772-4008.

Jackie Murphy is the publicity officer and she can be reached on 6771-1441.
