ORGANISERS are predicting a big crowd at the Armidale Sportsground tomorrow night for the opening of the new lights.
Hillgrove Colts and Easts cricket clubs will play at charity Twenty20 match under lights to officially open the six-figure lights.
A curtain raiser will be played between the Armidale Golden Oldies from 3.30pm, with the main game to start at around 6.30.
The boundaries will be brought in so families can sit on the outfield and a pink ball will be used to maximise visibility.
There will be vouchers and prizes to be won on the night, with local business chipping in to support the good cause.
Entry is via a gold coin donation, with all funds raised on the night going to Ronald McDonald House.
A barbece and bar will run all evening, with the match predicted to finish at about 10pm.
