Today's Walcha Cup has been moved to Armidale because of bad track condition while tomorrow's family day has been abandoned because of the same reason.
Armidale Jockey Club will run the meeting. Walcha Jockey Club president Jim Nivison said he is grateful Armidale has stepped up to help host the day's action.
"We're appreciative Jim Dedes and his club has helped us ensure the day will go ahead," he said.
"It will still be an eight race meet and we will also be running buses to and from Walcha for those who want to go to the races." The meet will start at 1.18pm.
Local trainer Paul Grylls will be looking for success when one of his main charges, Dusty’s Felt, races during the meet.
