The Armidale triathlon club will hold the annual Sportspower workplace challenge triathlon on Sunday February 12 at the TAS Pool.
Teams of three will compete in a 200m swim, 10km bike ride and 2km run which is equivalent to the normal short course. Registrations will take place at 8.00am with the race to start at 8.30am.
Entries are $60.00 per team with all of the proceeds going to Canassist. The club raised $600 for the PCYC last year and hope to exceed that amount this year.
Entry forms can be collected from Hutchinson and Harlow, Sportspower, Struddy’s or on the day.
Last year’s winner was the Forsyth’s team followed by Superair and Armidale City Signs.
The Sportspower team have gone onto bigger and better things as they currently lead the short course teams competition in the Forsyth’s Armidale triathlon Series for 2011-12.
The normal programme of events will also take place on the day with the kid’s race, long course, short course and junior races all taking place after the workplace challenge.
The club looks forward to a big turnout for the day.
