Newling Public School left a lasting impression on James Waters.
So much so, he has returned as a teacher.
The former student spent all of his primary school years at the school and has become something of a Renaissance man as a result.
“My education at Newling was very well-rounded, with a range of academic, sporting and musical endeavours,” he said.
“Newling has progressed even more since then and is a tremendous environment for young children to thrive in, both physically and academically.
“It feels great to be part of such a positive environment, and to be back on my own turf.”
Mr Waters said the compassion and dedication of teachers saw him gain a rewarding school life and gave him a strong basis to build his career.
“There are teachers here today who taught me, and that emphasises the feeling that the school has a family environment,” he said.
“Newling has been, and still is, a great inspiration.”
