AN ARMIDALE teenager will appear in court over a schoolyard assault.
Police were called to a high school on Monday morning after a 16-year-old boy allegedly assaulted a 15-year-old fellow student.
Several other students intervened to stop the fight but the victim was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries to his face.
The alleged assailant was arrested at the school and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was granted bail to appear before Armidale Children's Court.
