SENIOR citizens in Armidale looking for a bit of fun can head to the Armidale Senior Citizen’s Association (ASCA) on Fridays.
About 20 members meet to play cards, bingo, scrabble or just to enjoy the company of good friends each week, but they are looking for more friends to join.
Once a month a catering crew from TAFE prepares a lucious hot meal, which is always complimented by morning and afternoon tea.
Also once a month, outings are arranged. This week the ASCA group are heading off to the Walcha Road pub and then on to have an historical look at Booloominbah at the university.
The group meets each Friday at the ‘pink house’ on the corner of Markham and Barney streets from 9am until 3pm. For more information, call 6772-2761.
