ASPIRING young actors and those with sights on a career in entertainment will get the chance to learn from the experts when NIDA (National institute of Dramatic Arts) conducts classes in Armidale next week.
NIDA graduates and industry specialists will deliver short courses at The Armidale School from Tuesday to Sunday, July 14 to 19.
NIDA on tour provides access to expertise in theatre, film and television.
Other NIDA graduates who have previously taught for the open program include Sam Worthington who is currently making huge waves in Hollywood.
For 50 years, NIDA has been a driving force in the growth and development of Australia’s creative industry.
The professional tutors are committed to extending and developing creative skills and giving participants an insight into careers in the entertainment industry.
NIDA’s Mark Gaal said the open program develops specific talents, and assists with communication skills and building confidence.
“Well known actress Rose Byrne attended the NIDA Open Program and has now become an international star playing opposite Brad Pitt and recently with Nicholas Cage,” he said.
Courses include acting techniques, intensive acting and acting to camera.
