August trial on murder charges

08 Feb, 2012 07:58 AM
A TRIAL date has been set for the five people charged over the murder of Glen Innes greengrocer Adrian Trevett.

The cases of Mathew Aquilina of Casino, Karen Dawson of Glen Innes, David Comber of Grafton and Kristin Weston and Deborah Grant of Casino have been listed for trial in Newcastle Supreme Court on August 20.

The five face charges over the death of Mr Trevett, who went missing after he completed a bike ride to the summit of the Gibraltar Range in October 2010.

His remains were found at a national park east of Tenterfield in January 2011.

The five accused will appear in Sydney Supreme Court for an arraignment hearing on March 2.

Aquilina, Dawson and Comber are charged with Mr Trevett’s murder, while Weston and Grant are charged with accessory after the fact to murder and concealing a serious indictable offence.
